Carb Rebuild Suggestions
1st start with the factory Toyota manual and also a Haynes. Between the two they give a good explain as to how to do it.
"It isn't hard, but you have to pay attention to disassembly. Video tape the disassembly, make notes of the orientation of parts and where they go when you take them off. Stick them to a piece of cardboard in order of when you took them off. Do not take the butterflies off the shafts. Check shaft play (no more than .002) in the bushing in the base. Remove all the rubber and plastic parts. Dip the metal parts in Berryman carb dip over night. Rinse the parts 2x in paint thinner. Blow out all the tiny holes with compressed air or spray type carb cleaner to make sure that they are open. Reassemble and adjust according to instructions in Toyota manual."
