Front Main Seal Replacement
The hardest part is getting access. Easiest way is to remove the radiator. Then get a socket that is:
1-13/16" is the same as 46mm. It is available from Sears
Craftsman. You will
need a 3/4" to 1/2" adapter for your 1/2" drive breaker bar. Lay the breaker
bar on the driver's side frame rail and "tap" the starter (turn the ignition
key just for a moment) to get it loose. When reassembling, you can put the
e-brake on and put the cruiser in high gear to retorque to the 140 specified
foot pounds. Good luck and happy cruisin'!
Now just remove the cover on the front of the engine and check things out. I will write more details as I myself progress futher.
